APPG on Migration roundtable: ‘Economic growth in 2012: what role will migration policy play?’

Organised by the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Migration, the roundtable will be held in the Attlee Suite, Portcullis House on Wednesday, 18th January 2012 from 10 to 11.30am.
As the UK continues to face challenges in building economic growth in 2012, there will be an ongoing need for global talent, trade and investment. Can calls for further restrictions on immigration be balanced against the need to support growth in the UK? How can concerns about wider pressures on housing and public services be resolved? This meeting will explore the impact of immigration on the UK economy, its potential role in aiding recovery, and a policy balance which can support growth over the coming year and beyond.
