Thomas de Graaff
Team Member, Migrant Diversity and Regional Disparity in Europe
Thomas de Graaff is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Spatial Economics at the Free University Amsterdam. He holds a Master's degree in business econometrics from the Free University in Amsterdam in 1997 and a Ph.D. in economics from the Department of Spatial Economics at the Free University Amsterdam. His Ph.D. thesis dealt with ethnic cluster forming and endogenous dynamics in international migration patterns. After obtaining his Ph.D. in 2001, he continued working at the department of Spatial Economics as a researcher and subsequently as an assistant professor. Spatial location patterns of households and firms, spatial econometrics, and migration theory are among his main research interests.
